No Sanctuary Cities

No Sanctuary Cities

The United States of America must secure our borders – build the wall, to gain control of illegal immigration and begin to safeguard our citizenry. And, most certainly, we cannot continue to permit the infestation of illegality via sanctuary cities! Build The Border Fence!

Absent from most political rhetoric espousing intentions to secure our southern border is the one tangible form of border security necessary as a starting point to create lasting immigration reform: the border fence.

Consider San Diego. In 1996, Congress passed a bill to require construction of a double-layered fence along the coast. Despite completion of only 14 miles of the proposed 60 miles, apprehension of illegal aliens fell by 95%.

Consider Israel. Pursuant to the construction of a double-layer fence with a security zone in the middle – similar to the San Diego fence, “suicide attacks perpetrated by Arab terrorists declined by well over 90%.”

Consider the cost. Despite Israeli expenditures of $1.8 million per mile to construct their border fence, calculating the cost based on $9 million per mile (as estimated by DHS for the cost of the San Diego fence), a 700 mile double-layered fence would cost roughly $6 billion to construct. Given that, over the lifespan of each illegal alien whom is prevented from entering the United States, American taxpayers save $700,000 per individual, the cost to build the fence to ensure American sovereignty is negligible.
